Who is the Sensible Geek?

Oh look, it’s another blog in the sea of incessant nonsense that is what the internet has become!

Why should you care? Maybe you shouldn’t. In that case, no, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for, and yes, you should move along. Ok, so I threw in the Star Wars reference just to point out the “geek” part… But why and how am I sensible?? I’m glad you asked.

Well for one, I got the girl! Chalk that one up in the “win” column.

For two, I realize that the difference between a geek and a nerd is that geeks generally possess social skills. It’s a subtle difference, but it’s there. And yes, I know that means that most people that call themselves geeks are, in fact, nerds.

What can I say — It’s not a perfect world…

But who am I?  I’m a 26-year-old Marketing Analyst in the Seattle area.  My degree is in Economics, I play video games, I build computers, and though I mean no offense, I’m probably smarter than you.  I don’t always have all the facts, but in general, I try to stay informed.  I’m newly married, and my wife and I have a black Lab as our only child.
